Visually, the main intention of the project was always to represent the desert in a way that is related to microscopic images, such as the ones shown here. Initially, the final output of the installation was going to be a series of microscopes where viewers would be able to see this expected kind of microbiology imagery. Closer attention would reveal that these images would be video of specific parts of the desert, where people interacting with the space could also be appreciated.
